Latest press coverage for Steven Wilson’s new record

1st March 2013

John Kelman has published an extensive review of the deluxe edition of Steven Wilson’s new solo album ‘The Raven that Refused To Sing (and other stories)’ on All About Jazz.

“His best solo record to date (perhaps his best record, period)—and alongside Grace for Drowning, a Deluxe Edition that redefines how such limited edition releases should be done, combining music/video extras with a gorgeous presentation of artwork, lyrics and stories that’s as wonderful to hold as it is to hear and watch—The Raven That Refused to Sing (And Other Stories) reflects the power and beauty of what can happen when a progressive thinker finds exactly the right people for whom to write”

Sputnik Music awarded the record 4.5/5, commenting “stunning composition skills are matched by phenomenal instrumentation, and his method of structuring the album around individual stories makes each song fresh and unique. While it’s still early, Raven is easily the best album of 2013 so far, and a work well deserving of serious study”.

Steven was recently interviewed by Nick Deriso of SomethingElseReviews.com, where he discusses classic 70’s sounds, prog’s rebirth and his new album.
