Cover Version, Tim Bowness, No-Man & classic remixes

19th June 2014

From next Monday (23rd) copies of the CD reissue of “Cover Version” will start shipping. This is a collection of all the ‘A’ and ‘B’ sides of the 6 cover version singles I released under my own name between 2003-2010, sympathetically remastered, and packaged in a gatefold card mini LP sleeve with sleeve notes.

Also released on Monday is an album I mixed, which is already picking up deservedly rave reviews, the Tim Bowness solo album “Abandoned Dancehall Dreams”. Tim is my partner in the band No-Man and this album is essential for anyone that has enjoyed Tim’s voice and No-Man albums in the past. It’s available as a limited edition double CD media book and on black vinyl in gatefold sleeve.

Coinciding nicely with the release of Tim’s solo album is a new edition of the most recent studio album we made together as No-Man “Schoolyard Ghosts”. The new edition of this 2008 album has been remastered and is now a 2 disc set in a gatefold mini LP sleeve, including a second disc of alternative versions, b-sides, and demos. Re-released on 18th August, pre-order now from Headphone Dust.

Finally, the series of classic album remixes continues with the release on 30th June of a 40th anniversary edition of Jethro Tull’s “A Passion Play” as a 4 disc set, with my new stereo and 5.1 mixes of both the original 1973 album and the aborted Chateau D’Isaster album from the previous year, the latter mixed for the first time in complete 60 minute form and without the overdubs added during later years. The set comes packaged with an 80 page booklet.

There will be several other classic album remixes released between now and the end of the year. Those already announced are Gentle Giant “The Power and the Glory” – (mid July release, available to pre-order now), XTC “Drums and Wires”, King Crimson “Beat”, and the third in the series of Yes remixes (these 3 all expected in September/October).
