Permanating video + more reviews come in for the new album!

23rd July 2017

In advance of his new album To the Bone, Steven Wilson has released a colourful video for what is proving to be one of the most surprising and controversial songs of his career, Permanating. Surprising because unlike the rest of the album and the music SW is best known for, it’s pure joyous pop music, influenced by his love of Abba and Electric Light Orchestra.

“I’m very proud to unveil the video for Permanating. As soon as I wrote this song I had it in mind that Bollywood dancing would be the perfect accompaniment, such a joyous form of dance for what is probably the most joyous pop song I have ever come up with. I hope it will put a smile on your face as it does for me!” – SW

Meanwhile the album has been picking up impressive advance reviews with Planet Rock awarding the album the maximum 5 stars and saying “Steven Wilson delivers his progressive masterpiece”. Meanwhile UK magazine Mojo awarded the album 4 out of 5 stars, stating “To The Bone keeps its pop and prog influences in a near perfect balance – flash and flamboyant at times but with some lovingly crafted big tunes with an expansive, punchy sound”.

Steven Wilson’s new album ‘To the Bone’ is released worldwide on Caroline International / Universal Music on 18th August and you can watch the previously released videos for ‘Song of I (feat. Sophie Hunger)’ and ‘Pariah (feat. Ninet Tayeb)’ below.
