Steven has been awarded “Prog Icon” and “Event of The Year” (the latter being the Grace for Drowning tour) in Prog Magazine’s 2012 Readers Poll. His latest concert film ‘Get All You Deserve‘ also won the ‘Multimedia of the Year’ award, with the No-Man live album/DVD “Love and Endings” coming in at number 4. The top three records in the ‘Reissue of the Year’ category were remixed by Steven with King Crimson’s ‘Larks Tongues in Aspic’ taking first place followed by ELP’s ‘Tarkus’ and Jethro Tull’s ‘Thick As A Brick’.
These awards follow on from Steven’s prestigious “Guiding Light” award at the Progressive Music Awards in September 2012.
Also receiving recognition are members of Steven’s band. Nick Beggs appears in two categories, coming in at number 2 in ‘Best Bassist’ and number 10 in the ‘Prog Icon’ category. Adam Holzman received 5th place in ‘Best Keyboard Player’ and Marco Minnemann achieved number 4 in the ‘Best Drummer’ category.
All the results of Prog Magazine’s readers poll are published in its January edition which went on sale yesterday. Also featured is a 10-page feature and interview with Steven conducted while recording the new album, “The Raven That Refused to Sing (and other stories)” in Los Angeles.
